Just a little forum to share any other MMO experiences people might have. I play a couple of other games, including Anarchy Online (which I've mentioned in passing). Here's my main Quetzalcoatl fighting off an Alien Invasion in our "kin's" City. Link
But in their rage, the gods forgot the secret of steel and left it on the battlefield, and we who found it. We are just men, not gods, not giants, just men. And the secret of steel has always carried with it a mystery. You must learn its riddle, Conan, you must learn its discipline, for no one, no one in this world can you trust, not men, not women, not beasts... I played all games i could get. havent played much MMO games. My first MMO game was Runescape, after i got internet --a long time ago:p--, than i did voyage century as role-playing game. i did multiple shooters online, played Americas army and Wolfenstein ET the most. this year i only played lotro as MMORPG, hardly play any SP games now --last months i completed CoJ 2 (twice), Wolfenstein 2009, MWF2 (twice). now i only play Empire total war as SP.
never started with WoW --the game-complexity is nice there i think (imagine the thousands of spells u can get there as Mage!), but i dont wanna risk an addiction there, thats more devastating than with Lotro:p

Nice ! I was just now trying to find some of the old stuff we did pre-beta for EVE ONLINE - alas it has been lost over the years (Host changes, and my own back ups and clean outs ) - I would otherwise have shown some Flash vids, complete with some professionally made music.... aaaah good times All I can offer up is my old account profile (forum) on the eve forums I guess: http://eve-search.com/stats/Arminius_I Though have played alot of MMOs since then, but never got involved to the same degree as I had in EVE and LOTRO.

I've tried out a bunch of different MMOs - recently have tried the free trials of Warhammer Online and WoW, and tried Champions Online for the first month after it was out. I've also got accounts set up on D&D Online and Guild Wars (both free to play, so still active in theory although not used).... Also played Eve for a good while a few years back before trying any of the fantasy type ones (I actually got a free reactivation offer through for one of my accounts last month, and reactivated it just so that I could start training a really long skill and let it run... just in case I go back, you know ) Currently have Star Trek online on pre-order, so I'll be doing the Open Beta and first month of that one once it's live too.... So I like trying out MMOs.... none of them have really stuck for me in the way that Eve did, and that LotRO has, though.

Eve was the first MMO i played which was probably not the best place to get my introduction to the world of MMO's but it was alot of fun and i met a great group of gamers so it was good while it lasted. Apart from that Lotro is the only other one i've played although i'm looking forward to a couple this year like Star Trek Online and especially Jumpgate Evolution.
Shame i can't find my Eve forum account anywhere so i can post it, we're gathering quite a collection.
All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king

Yeah, I mean, Lotro has been the first MMO I have played with a "conventional" avatar (A humanoid, as opposed to a ship in eve) for any real length of time (near 3 years this May)... - time flies Oooh and I just got in to the Startrek beta today - shall give it a whirl. Like Alv, I like to try them those that intrigue me, but LOTRO will always be my mainstay.

Has anyone played Dragon Age: Origins? It's a solo RPG I believe, but I have heard it's very good.... I loved the Baldur's Gate series...

Yeah i've played it and it's a fantastic game, definatly the best RPG i've ever played but i never did play the Baldurs Gate Series so i don't know how it compares to that.
