Just to update you all on a number of things. Mainly concerning the website, and the class “mentors”, as it was once known. Also a couple of entirely new roles; which are Social Events Coordinator(s), and Raid Leads.
Following our last officer meeting, we felt the mentor system (as it was known) to be lacking in any redundancy, and the title itself needed adjusting to reflect what it is more universally (hence “expert” was chosen as a title that reflects this).
We also wanted to revise the role to become more viable more often in game. So we decided to have more than one person assigned to each Class Expert Role. The role itself doesn’t essentially change from what it is (a first port of call for class advice for anyone knew or old/experienced). Heck, its often to be the case for some good ol “Class fun” that is, say “An All Burg Sword Halls HM Run” type thing (you know what I mean). You will see who is who from the Website: www.twilightgathering.co.uk/ranks/ Please note that Sol has two of these covered as Rune Keeper and Captain at present. What should be stated here is that these are by no means permanent and can be revised at any time, with perhaps the current nominating a successor (if they wish to discontinue their role).
You will also notice from the above link the new Social Events roles(s). Lucy will be heading up this group of peeps to put together regular events within the game or outside of the game (forum based or otherwise). She is currently joined by Randulf as social events co-ordinator, and I am looking for two more people in addition to fulfil the others. *Please communicate with Lucy about any interest in that and what’s involved if to become one*. The view on this overall is to generate some fun outside of the usual instance/raid/skirmish type (but can involve them in some way) – You’ll see what I mean soon enough I am sure.
And finally Raiding. Sol has been “unceremoniously” the Raid Leader (often) and its been felt we should officially expand on how this can be managed and free Sol up some more to do other things (e.g. take part in raids and not necessarily lead them all the time). So – Sol will be the Raid Overlord (I mean Officer
), with Illmaya and Lidanian as Raid Leads. This empowers Illmaya and Lid to setup and lead Raids within the kin as Sol would have (and you will have seenLid recently setting these up of late) and lead them. They will also extend to running instances (to gear people up) for the raids that require certain amounts of Radiance. * The Raid Leads role is not limited to just two (it is for now) so again any interest in this role, please communicate with Sol directly please*. Sol will oversee the whole thing and will of course still set up raids as well.I will be redoing the “Kin Structure” Page in to something else which would look cleaner for your reference. And will illustrate the above all in all.
