Has anyone reached the Behemoth yet in the cage?

I'm trying to keep it very simple and not say too much for the people who don't have it yet.
I don't want to wake up tied to a tree in the Ettenmoors as Yd & Liddy walk away in the opposite direction. tongue

Anyway so can someone who has reached this guy give me some tips?
He can one shot me every single time... I've tried upping my HP in every way possible and I'm out of things to try.
I even have 1 guy dps & 1 guy healing and still epic phail.

I feel like I've tried every skill possible to defeat it but when it can one shot you within the first 30 seconds of the battle there doesn't seem like much I can do.

Yayy did it in the end anyway.

If anyone else gets stuck at him... just use a fortisil (I think thats what its called) and it becomes extremely easy. tongue

Is it safe to start talking about the game now?! Dont want to spoil anything for anyone tongue

Just wondering if anyone else is playing and if so how are you enjoying th game/battle system thus far?

So far for me I am getting a bit bored by how linear the game is - no world map to play on and no control over group members etc Then again i have only played for a total of around 2 1/2 hours and given the scale of previous FF games this is the equivilent of dropping a pebble in the sea. Can anyone tell me if it is worth powering through to a point where the game opens up a bit more? If so when does it happen?!

As visually stunning as the game is I still can't help feeling a bit disheartened by it all sad On the lighter side I do get a good laugh everytime that baby chocobo jumps out of Sazh's hair tongue

I can't give anything away as I haven't played it... But from the reviews I read it says that you have to put in about 20 hours play to unlock the more complex content, kinda put me off tbh but at least it gives you something to work towards...

I like the combat system, though I don't blame you for being a bit disheartened it is truly very different from the rest of the games.

I'm on my 23rd or 29th hour (Can't read the numbers that well tongue) and I'm enjoying it a lot, at the moment you have barely seen the game Lost, I'm not even sure I've seen it completely

Mobs respawn if you walk away from their spot (has to be a certain distance) so it is possible to grind them. What annoys me most is the lack of gil, you hardly get any in my opinion, only found one spot where you could grind gil and it's not that grindable

Ok will give going back and killing respawns a try...at least that way i can practice using the combat system. Get really miffed when i don't get 5 stars!!! What i really hate is not being able to switch between characters while in combat (unless of course i am missing something!). Then again that probably wont bother me too much when my group leaders start having more that 3 skills tongue

How are you not getting Gil?
I have more Gil than I know what to do with... I'm up to liek 40k.
Just make sure you sell any items you don't need rather than d'con.
Some of them are worth up to 10k and are completely useless.

I've had around 200k tongue Just spend it all on components again, and aside from useless weapons and accesories then there isn't that much sellable loot that can't be used for something else.

Someone hurry up and reach the final boss. tongue
I need halp! smile

There must be a very precise method to this fight...
He can kill me with even 2 healers, so there must be a way to reduce his damage output.

Currently I can get him down by 25% max before I die. sad
